Crestview

The Legacy Book Club provides a way to honor our 5th grade graduating students in a special and lasting way. Here’s how the program works.

 

• Fill out the form sent home and return it to Mrs. Cross by May 20 with cash or a check payable to Crestview Elementary for $5.00 per book. Please write Legacy Book Club in the memo line.

 

• On May 25, the students will be called to the library to choose a book that left an impression on them – whether it’s their favorite picture book, chapter book, the first book they remember reading on their own, or a nonfiction book about their favorite topic (drawing, aliens, poetry, Egypt). Or they can choose a book to leave in honor of their favorite teacher or staff member. This book may not be one that is already someone’s birthday book (unless it’s yours) or a book donated by someone else.

 

• A special book plate will be placed in the front of the book in honor of the child. They will also have their picture taken with the book and displayed in the hallway.

 

• The money collected for the Legacy Book Club will be used to purchase books for Crestview Elementary’s library.
